Applying To Be On The Biggest Loser

I spent much of my life overweight. Somewhere along the line I decided to do something about it. Instead of doing it the old fashioned way, through a home made diet and exercise plan, I decided to try something more exotic. There was a reality show about people losing weight and I was going to be on it. Somehow, someway I would find a way to get on that show.

I went onto the internet, and took a look at a site called biggest loser forum, which I found out had all types of information about diet and weight loss, exercise programs, helpful hints and they even had chat rooms where people can discuss the issues surrounding their weight loss program with people who are going through similar situations. The website led me to a place where I could download the forms that supplied all of the information about how to apply for the Biggest Loser. I had to give them a lot of information about my self and tell them why I should be on the show as well as make a tape that was to be submitted. The video had to be something that would wow the people who chose the contestants and was supposed to be between five and fifteen minutes long. They wanted the video to show my personality as well as providing information about my life. The application and video would be all that the show would know about me, so I knew the importance of doing it right.

I filled out my application, made my video and waited, knowing that if I was lucky enough to be chosen to be on the show I would be taught how to lose weight fast, something that I knew would help me to live a long and healthy life that I could share with my family, and something that I felt was much needed. Despite all of my efforts I was sent a rejection letter. I figured they must have had people who needed more help them me. Even thought the show turned me down, I knew that there were still issues for me to deal with. I decided that even though the Biggest Loser wasn’t go to help me, I would help myself.

I made the commitment to start to eat healthy and begin exercising, which at first meant doing sets of six pack ab exercises in my living room every night until I was able to get the money together to join a fitness club and get the professional help that I needed to reach the goals that I had set for myself, and to lead me in my new healthy lifestyle. There were plenty of weight loss systems available to me, but I did not use them. Amazingly the weight started to come off. I was watching the Biggest Loser season and comparing my weight loss to the people I had hoped to compete against. I was changing my life. I had as much help as the contestants on the show had. I learned that I liked eating foods that were healthier for me and I looked forward to my workouts in the gym. My workouts created a whole group of friends that I did not have before. Despite the apprehensions I had about giving up all the things that I thought gave me comfort, I replaced them with many other new things. Most importantly I was happy.

I wasn’t chosen to be on the Biggest Loser, but that did not stop me. In the end I regained my life without being on the show. The original decision to lose weight can be traced back to my decision to apply. Without making the effort to get on the show, they would never have had the chance to reject me. The rejection that they gave me gave me the desire to do something about the issue so I could tell them I told you so. It was great when I could let them see my transformation and tell them they messed up. I know that I am now the Biggest Loser because I am healthy.
