Loveland city is located in Hamilton, Clermont and Warren counties of the southwestern part of the state of Ohio of the US. It is considered a part of the larger Cincinnati area. In the 2000 census, its population was 11,677.
It’s got a total area of 4.7 square miles ( 12.2 km ). Its land area is 4.7 square miles ( 12.0 km ) and the water is 0.1 sq mi ( 0.2 km or 1.28% ). It is 597 ft. ( 182 m ) above sea level. You can simply reach Loveland city by vehicle. You can use Interstae 275 or State Route forty eight. If you’re coming from the northwestern corner of Loveland, you may pass through State Route 3 or U.S. Route 22. On the other hand State Route 126 may be employed to pass thru Remington and Miamiville to the southern part.
On the opposite sides of the little Miami pretty river, a little valley is located where the significant downtown Loveland and its central financial area are located. On the other side of the valley, the residential areas are situated. Loveland city is located inside three counties. Its city Hall is located in Clermont County and most of its population is residing in Hamilton County.
This city is using the council-manager kind of government. Its council has 7 seats. They have a mayor, vice-mayor, city chief and four council members. Illegal acts and traffic cases are heard in the city Mayors Court.
Loveland has its Loveland Police Division as well as the Loveland-Symmes Fire dep. which is under the Northeast Fire cooperative. Their services are coordinated by the Northeast Communications Center or NECC thru reports through the Wireless Enhanced 911 line.
Going thru the citys history, it was named after James Loveland who was the owner of a general store and operated a post office close to the railroad tracks of the city. It was considered to be as a town on May twelve, 1876 and later on in 1961, it was incorporated as a chartered city.
Before, Loveland was legendary for its summer houses for the rich and distinguished folk. However , due to its vicinity to the tiny Miami brook, it was subject to flooding. Certain wild natural phenomena washed out some of the citys firms but they were rebuilt right now.
Considering the census of two thousand, it was recorded that 11,677 people resides in Loveland city. There are over 4,497 households and 3,224 families that are living in the city. The racial makeup of the city is the mixture of typically White which is 95.66%, 1.56% Afro-American, 1.05% Asian, 0.05% native american and the rest are other races.
