The Hit Glee TV Series – A Non Fan Looks At the Phenomenon
Glee, the all singing, all dancing Television hit is taking the world by storm. Whereas inevitable comparisons to High School Musical are being made left, right and centre, the Glee series is taking a little bit of a completely different course to those motion pictures. It tends to point out that characters aren’t good, and on the whole may be a very little more lifelike than the Zac Efron/Vanessa Hudgens circus.
Glee’s second season is on its way, and rumours are already circulating of a Glee feature version, except for now it is staying on Television, where it is garnering massive viewing figures. It isn’t simply happening stateside either, as Glee mania has gripped fans around the world.
The soundtrack CDs of music from the Glee TV series are proving to be giant hits with enthusiasts, as is the infamous cover version of ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ by vintage rock band Journey. Ok, thus it could return across as sickly and relentlessly twee, it does have its redeeming elements. The characters aren’t good, scrawny, immaculate idols. Many of them come across as normal, with regular issues and issues. Sure, the show is regarding as exhausting hitting as Pokemon, but it has its worth.
Whereas the Glee TV series is far from unique, it has genuinely tapped into the audience that has been left shocked by the end of High School Musical, and in the process it is gathering even more enthusiasts, all of who want a lot of singing and dancing comedy drama in their existence. In essence, it is filling enthusiasts with glee. As bad as that pun is, it would appear to be true!
I must stress that I am not an exponent in any way, shape or form. However, I do genuinely believe a TV show with a positive message, that follows a collection of underdog characters, certainly has its place on our screens. I could actively dislike the show, but there are ample folks that adore it, and I am unable to envy them that, as it is an inoffensive and entertaining series that a great many folks are obtaining one thing out of.
The Glee TV series is continuing a fine tradition of aspirational TV shows for viewers inquiring the traditional changes of life, choosing up the baton from shows like Fame and its ilk. With Glee TV series products proving to be greatly sought after, and every episode gathering a lot of fans and a lot of chat, it’s a reasonably safe bet that the Glee TV series can be around for your time yet. This can be one thing that, to its many fans, is very worth a song and dance.
